Where we recommend

We take huge pleasure in finding out where our visitors have come from, their reasons for landing in Stow-on-the-Wold and chatting to them about their onwards plans. If we can help with a dinner suggestion, recommendations for great local shops in Stow or tips for a Cotswolds day out then we do! Sharing our favourite places really is second nature to us.

Otis & Belle

We celebrated the day this artisan bakery arrived in Stow with its luxurious sourdough loaves, moreish macarons and perfect pastries.

New England Coffee House

Laura and her team have created a haven for coffee and cake lovers with quirky and inviting corners to relax in.

Coach House Coffee

Worth a visit for the turmeric latte alone but also for the eye-stealing selection of sweet treats that greet you.

D’Ambrosi Fine Foods

Andrew and Jesse offer a tour de force of flavours from their deli counter and take away dishes you wish you could tell your guests you had made yourself.

The Sheep

Buzzy and bright ambience with a selection of both light and hearty mains and incredible stone baked sourdough pizzas.

Believed to be England's oldest inn, the Porch House welcomes you in with its cosy atmosphere and satisfying dishes.

The Old Butchers

An explosion of tastes of the sea in the heart of the Cotswolds alongside incredible locally sourced beef.

The Cellar

Sustainable wine bar, purveyor of mouth-watering plates and the place to go locally for live music.

Old Stocks Inn

Head to the bar for the inspired cocktails using local spirits such as the Cotswold Mule and craft beer from Purity Brewery

We count ourselves incredibly lucky that POM boutique has chosen Stow as its Cotswolds outpost. Hand-picked by Katie, its beautiful offerings never fail to hit the mark.

Cotswold Baguettes

There’s a simple reason we get lunch from here so often. Beth and Kevin and their team are wonderful people and make delicious food including well-stuffed wraps and heavenly chocolate tiffin.

Further afield:

Daylesford Farm

If we had several hours at leisure this is where we would head to for the sumptuous food hall, homewares and enticing menus in a choice of restaurants underpinned by sustainable farming.

The Fox

The Fox at Oddington benefits from fantastic seasonal produce from Daylesford Farm and serves it up with flair in a relaxed and elegant setting.

Broadway Tower

We love combining a morning walk around the tower and grounds taking in sweeping views followed by breakfast at Morris & Brown.

Broadway Deli

With shelves stuffed full of delectable produce it’s not hard to while away time at this treasure trove of taste.

Russell’s Fish & Chips

There’s something very satisfying about eating something so quintessential British when it’s done quite this well – get there early to ensure you get a table!

Cotswold Distillery

The Cotswolds is synonymous with artisan spirit production and a tour of Cotswolds Distillery is a must for gin and whisky connoisseurs.

Bamford Wellness Spa

Part of the Daylesford Farm complex, the spa offers a holistic range of treatments and classes. It has strong roots in nature and uses only organic, natural products from the Bamford range.

Take advantage of discerning local knowledge that sifts the very best of the Cotswolds to the surface including little-known gems, must-visit destinations and memorable experiences, taking the logistics off your plate.
