Art. Meet. Work.

ArtÓ is a fusion of art gallery, meeting place and flexible workspace underpinned by creativity and passion
Opened in May 2022 in the Brewery Yard, Stow-on-the-Wold, ArtÓ is born out of 30 years of love for art, a belief in the enabling power of human connections and a certainty that work without inspiration is an empty task.
Every piece of art in the collection is owned not loaned, bringing a fresh take on art appreciation that removes pressure from the gallery experience and places emphasis on enjoying art at leisure. Crucially it also supports artists upfront allowing them to continue creating.

Encouraging emerging and visionary artists is at the heart of the ArtÓ mission and many pieces are direct commissions. ArtÓ is also committed to championing causes important to our featured artists such as challenging stereotypes and biases.

“At ArtÓ you will find collectibles, rarities and some oddballs. It’s in our nature to be a bit maverick” says founder Tony Finn. The collection encompasses over 300 varied pieces which will be exhibited on rotation and available to browse online.
ArtÓ aims to be a launch pad for a creative community with a relaxed downstairs level in a minimalist Nordic style that welcomes visitors to enjoy art over coffee, conversation or a book. It also doubles as an inviting space for events including talks, workshops and private hire.

As we embrace new ways of working ArtÓ offers a casual meeting place on the ground floor and a flexible workspace with bookable workstations upstairs. Why settle for a bland environment when you could pursue your projects alongside vibrant artworks to stimulate the mind?

“Therein lies the beauty of art – a work that invokes a response, conversation or debate is special” says Finn. ArtÓ intends to carry on prompting reaction, kindling innovation and bringing people together. We all need a touch of ArtÓ in our lives.
I wasn’t expecting it to be so completely different.

When you buy something from an artist you’re buying more than an object. You’re buying hundreds of hours of errors and experimentation. You’re buying years of frustration and moments of pure joy.
You’re not buying just one thing, you are buying a piece of heart, a piece of soul… a small piece of someone else’s life.

It’s got the most wonderful vibe. It does. I wouldn’t say it if I didn’t feel it.

You have such an array of work, there’s something that will resonate with everyone. But there’s a thread that runs through it.
