About the artist

Dylan Izaak

Dylan was born in 1971 in Rugby. His family was well travelled between the UK and Australia. If travel broadens the mind then by the time he left school, Dylan was as broad minded as they come and ready for anything. Dylan works predominantly on aluminium, His layering process of sketchwork and pigmenting with gloss means that although each piece is created with meticulous care and attention, they retain a strong sense of immediacy and spontaneity. His time consuming methodology takes an average of 100hrs work for each piece.

When you buy something from an artist you’re buying more than an object. You’re buying hundreds of hours of errors and experimentation. You’re buying years of frustration and moments of pure joy.
You’re not buying just one thing, you are buying a piece of heart, a piece of soul… a small piece of someone else’s life.
