Joel Clark
This 1/1 unique original artwork is created through a painstaking process of cutting, gluing and layering automotive vinyl onto a red tinted Perspex substrate, before it was sent to the paint shop to be lacquer coated with an automotive gloss finish. This original artwork is around 100 hours of work to achieve the breathtaking detail. The images do not really do the layers and textures, created with vinyl, justice.

About the artist

Joel Clark

A minimalist pop art style that transforms real objects into pieces that become surreal and 2D pieces that give a hyper-realistic look at the world. Joel Clark is an artist based in the United Kingdom whose paintings have been exhibited in England. He cites color and light as being the central focus of his works. In addition, the boldness of vinyl as a medium allows Clark to accentuate the colors found in everyday surroundings. He hand cuts each of his pieces, which are then mounted on steel, cardboard, or synthetic board.

When you buy something from an artist you’re buying more than an object. You’re buying hundreds of hours of errors and experimentation. You’re buying years of frustration and moments of pure joy.
You’re not buying just one thing, you are buying a piece of heart, a piece of soul… a small piece of someone else’s life.
